It would be under target's var/tmp/stage/catalogxxxx
on linux we use yum. during the job, metadata and a yum.conf file are copied over to the target into a temporary directory, yum is run using that yum.conf and metadata and the results are pulled back, then this directory is deleted.
on solaris we use 'pca' and the patchdiag.xref that's downloaded. those are copied over to the target server and run, and then removed.
hpux involves generating a catalog xml from the target and then copying it to the helper to do a check against the latest catalog from hp.
i'm not sure about aix - it would be similar.
is there some problem you are having ?
Not really, just to refresh my knowledge...Thank you Bill
