Query VMware Container Name for NSH Parameter

    Cody Dean

      Good Morning Communities,

We recently completed VMWare vCenter integration into our BMC BSA 8.5 environment.  We have a need to pull the VM Container hostname (the esxi host that the VM is currently on) into an NSH script.  I can browse to the instance in the VIRTUALIZATION* property and retrieve the information I want manually but I am having difficulty pulling it into an NSH script.

Here is what I tried as a parameter in a Type 1 script which returned no data when echoed out

      ??TARGET.VIRTUALIZATION*.VIRTUAL_ENTITY_CONTAINER.HOST??

I have been trying to figure out how to retrieve the data and was wondering if there is a secret to pulling data from an instance of a server property?

      Thank You,

      Cody
