[8.5.00] Cannot configure System Package Type

    Ben Vassie

I am trying to configure BSA 8.5.00 for provisioning but am having trouble setting up the system packages

      I have setup two datastores

      02.PNG.png

But when I come to configure the system type package I cannot specify the Installer location of my operating system

I can only select / or /boot, there is no option to drill down

Forgot to mention that I get the following error if I select either

unless something has change in 8.5 i've always typed in the os installer and rscd installer paths into those boxes, relative to the root of the datastore.  there should not be a link between the datastore psi and the os definition since you can have multiple datastores.

              Hello Bill

              Likewise

Looks like a change in 8.5, you cannot manually populate that field

              Ben

I'm also interested to know the intention around the change as it could cause a problem with our multi tenancy setup

I just got an 8.5 ga setup so I can try and look at this the next couple days.

Is there anything in the agent log on the pxestore when you do the browsing ?

I'll check next week when I am back in the office

This may be be off-target, but have you checked this:

When I try to browse the datastore this is all that appears in the rscd.log

                          Debug agent log ?

                          I’ll try and look today.

Actually, you can manually edit the path, I've entered the full path will try to build a server now

                              Sorry
