What version of BSA is this? I'm assuming it's 8.3.x?
Yes Joe and i need to create a compliance rule based on that. by not having multiple EO
I think it is not available through BSA , like they are also not available for 2008 R2.
We use a local EO on the Component Template to check them.
can you share the EO for the same?
I'll need to strip away some of the very specific checks to our environment.
It basically is a PowerShell script that outputs in XML format....
.... Lol forget what i said, just realized i posted that script and the method how this is called already !!
Have a look at https://communities.bmc.com/docs/DOC-22986
The script from that Doc is an old version, which did not contain the Audit-Policies.
I'll attach a current version here.
(Btw. this is only tested and verified for 2008, but maybe it'll just work the same on 2012)
Have a look and let me know if that helps you.
I got the error while extending the object
in the psHelper.nsh file i have placed my fileserver and the location of my script
extendded object was like this
nsh -c "//app/tmp/psHelper.nsh server_info_2012.ps1 ??TARGET.NAME?? ??TARGET.RSCD_DIR??"
error while refreshing the extended object is as below
"Error occured while extending the object
exit code "1"
Additional error information (if it exists) follows "
I suppose i need to revisit the changes in the powershell script where it says of 2008 and replace it with 2012. anyways working on it.. If you find anything from your side will be great help for me on this..
Can you run that command straight from an NSH session and post the output ?
(You need to replace the BL properties with the actual values)
% nsh -c "//SERVER/c/temp/psHelper.nsh server_info_new2012.ps1 'HOST' '/C/Program Files/BMC Software/BladeLogic/RSCD/'"
Unable to create file NUL: Permission denied
<Status><StatusExtendedObject>failed</StatusExtendedObject><Error>Powershell not found</Error></Status>
Is it something like powershell is not present?
But it is actually present in that server,
TARGET.SERVER' '/C/Program Files/BMC Software/BladeLogic/RSCD'"
//APP.SERVER/c/temp/psHelper.nsh:cd:28: too many arguments
/bin/bash: cmd: command not found
ipt exited with a Non-Zero ExitCode</Error></Status>
rm: server_info_new2012.ps1 non existent: No such file or directory
The above are the errors.
Could you please help me on the same.
as per the document or comments it is like it deletes the file.
What is the issue with the script? any idea?
unable to find an alternative for the same..
