ADDM does not currently attempt to recover this information for Unix.
Can I write my Own Custom TPL to capture these values from the resolve.conf file? would that be technically possible?

Yes - it would not be very hard. Just running 'grep nameserver /etc/resolv.conf', iterating through each line and getting the second field.
I note that you simultaneously asked this question in a support ticket and via this forum. In future, please make a cross-reference to reduce unnecessary duplication of effort.
Did you ever write the custom TPL pattern to gather the DNS information for non-Windows servers? if so, you would be interested in sharing?
I come accross this old thread while searching for this piece of info.
I'm in ADDMv11 and DNS server name for Unix host is still not available.
Any reason BMC do not want to capture DNS server info for Unix host?
As Tom asked a while ago ... "Did you ever write the custom TPL pattern to gather the DNS information for non-Windows servers? if so, you would be interested in sharing?"
I would be very interested and appreciative if a TPL for this was already done by someone who would be willing to share .
