    Martin,
What do you mean by supporting containers on Windows....

Installs of Remedy, as you may know, are fraught with issues.

I’d like to install ARS and MT once to a Docker container and then just drop the containers on the machines I want to run the apps.

Docker will probably be supported my MSFT in Windows 10.

    Cheers!

Dominic Wellington who can help with Docker?
  • Dominic Wellington 5 years ago

Monica Brink is on top of all things Docker right now - I'd suggest to start with her.

Does anyone know where this stands? We are interested in exploring the use of Docker with Remedy

I saw some abstracts for Engage 2016 that were discussing Docker.....who knows....available in the next release?

We are considering Remedy platform (AR System + CMDB) to run as Docker container in the next release. We are also looking to make entire Remedy ITSM Solution suite available on Amazon AWS and MS Azure. There are couple of topics on this subject at Engage 2016 Come checkout more details.

    Great news, Bhanu.

That should help improve time to deployment.

But what is the next release, please?

    9.2 or 10?

    Regards,

    Marty

I think the public docs I saw mentioned 9.5.....

LJ - any idea when 9.5 will be released? Also - is there anything stopping us from using Docker now? We are currently migrating to Remedy 9.1 so assume that version.

Jeff, I'm on the same outside as you :)....I have absolutely NO inside knowledge on any of this...just what's being posted to various places....so unfortunately no...don't know when 9.5 will be available, or even when it'll enter Beta phase...

May Bakken, do you have any insight to share about 9.5?
