Mark has extensive experience in service management, outsourcing, managed services, and project management having held roles at Applaud, Dell, Commonwealth Bank, Telstra, ING Bank and IBM. During his career he’s leveraged his ITIL foundation to lead Service Management transformation programs in finance, manufacturing, retail, health and Government. He’s developed and published enterprise IT service desk strategies, launched an ITSM consulting practice for a leading hardware vendor, implemented ITIL service desk quality programs, and managed service desk operational support teams.
Mark is passionate about the evolution of IT Services delivery and takes a forward looking view of digital services, principles and platforms to improve business operations After working with BMC solutions for almost a decade in both a partner and customer capacity, Mark Richards joined BMC Software in 2013 as a senior specialist for IT & Digital Services Management. In this role he’s responsible for developing relationships across BMC’s ecosystem and helping customers transition from ITSM excellence to Enterprise Service Management and achieve digital innovation through Digital Service Management.
