Hi All,

This jar files and links are only for the reference, thanks to the below mentioned communities member and documents links, through their proper direction I was able to configure chat successfully through open fire.

Note

BMC recommends that you use arapi90_build001.jar, and the arutil90_build001.jar files or arapi81_build001.jar, and the arutil81_build001.jar files. These files are built with Java 7 and are compatible with Openfire. These files are compatible with BMC Remedy AR System server 9.0 SP1 and later.

Do not use arapi90_build002.jar, and the arutil90_build002.jar files. The arapi90_build002.jar and arutil90_build002.jar files are built with Java 8,however the Openfire server runs with Java 7, so there are compatibility issues

Recently I have implemented MYIT in one of our client environment and they faced issue in MyIT push notification, after several check through blogs. We raise an support issue with BMC.

Finally during the troubleshoot we have followed the steps below and it worked like a charm!

Steps

  1. Check the firewall inside the MyIT servers.
  2. Required ports - BMC MyIT 3.3 - BMC Documentation -- Enable the port as mentioned in the document.
  3. Internet should be enabled in the MyIT server in order to communicate with the Google and Apple services.
  4. Basically your network admin should enable the connectivity between your MyIT server to the Apple and Google servers.
    • For Apple
      • TCP port 2195 outbound from MyIT and Smart IT Server to Apple Push Notification Service at 17.0.0.0/8
      • For eg: Telnet 17.0.0.0 2195 (basically this won't work but your network guys can open in their access list)
    • For Android
      • HTTPS port 443 outbound from the MyIT and Smart IT server to Android.googleapis.com.
      • For eg: Telnet Android.googleapis.com 443 (This should give you a successful message).
  5. Now test my adding the comments for the ticket we will receive a push notification.
  6. It should give a message as mentioned below;

13:42:33.675 | Notification poller            | DEBUG   | c.b.b.m.s.p.g.t.c.g.a.g.s.Sender | JSON request: {"delay_while_idle":false,"data":{"payload":"REQ1215 \"Backup/Restore Request\" service request status has changed to: Pending","myit":"srNot","myit_context":"{\"id\":\"SRGAA5V0GCTTCAOSK0OPOROHGOOUVT\",\"type\":\"request\"}","status":"Pending"},"time_to_live":2419200,"registration_ids":["APA91bEUDCOEiq3BKmu9EZdsoSwbFliqz0soQrMxWhJxn4JA5QnGgEZptF7EdBNMmjbCB18AyWfuN4rkuT8KoGiX7hYFyPl0mIDwFxlm_VVeCCAv-9XC1OY"],"priority":"high"}

I have been thinking a while for creating a live chart for license monitoring in BMC, finally using BMC enable license tracking option I was able to achieve this part. I have done testing this case and it is working great.

Pre-requisite:

As per BMC documentation we have to enable the License Tracking option to "Write Licenses" which will track the information lively in "AR System Current License Usage form",

here I have created flashboard and put the appropriate qualification in order to monitor the license usage and VIOLA! it made me crazy.

Soon I will upload the def file so that it will be helpful for everyone.

Dear All,

Recently I faced an issue when I tried for onboarding, though the user name and password are correct and able to login, but I was not able to do the onboarding activity due the error mentioned in the screenshot. The issue was server was under https as we moved all the servers under secure portal. When I modified the server.xml file making back to http and tried the onboarding it worked pretty cool.

Hi All,

Recently we faced an issue with task management.

Issue:

In change template when we associate multiple task template and when you use this change template in our change form for creation it will associate task but in OOB it will not initiate the task assignment process which BMC considered as bug.

Resolution:

So BMC provided an hot fix to resolve this issue. SW00505555

Hi All,

Most of the time in my project I face this problem, how overcome the return key validation which gave a big time hectic so I have created an sql query which will parse the entire lines in the text field then remove all the return key and finally it will make it straight.

So thought of sharing the same so that in future if anyone face the same it will be helpful.

Replace new line character

update T2842 set C900000107= REPLACE(cast(C900000107 as NVarchar(4000)),char(10),'')

where c900000106 ='CRQ000000001221'

Legends

T2842       --> My custom form's table name

C900000107  --> the custom field where the return key are present

c900000106  --> used for the validation

Note: This code is meant for MS SQL DB's for ORACLE just want to convert the same.

Jijil
