This isn't Footprints, it's an entirely new product with the same name. I'm not saying this is a good or a bad thing, it's just very different. It's a very steep learning curve and the manual is no help at all.

Ian - FPSC12 definitely does have a different look and feel than the previous version of FootPrints.  Have you been able to review any of the videos on the community site https://communities.bmc.com/docs/DOC-31445  (v. the written documentation)?  They may be more targeted or helpful.  Several of the support team and PMs are active on the community site as well and happy to help answer any questions, direct you to a specific resource and hopefully make sure you are able to do what you need to do.  Serena Lambiase   Don Cholish  I know they are adding more videos and targeted how to pieces of information regularly.

Hello everyone.. I just attended the BMC Tech Day in Dallas, and I am trying to explain to my bosses the Asset recognition part of the software.  Is the asset portion something that is a separate purchase module to FP12, or is it just now integrated into the software like the mobile module?

Kenny - the Asset inventory is a separate module from FP12.  FP Service Core 12 is the service desk and Asset Core is the asset management portion.  Asset Core and Service Core offer deep integrations allowing agents to view asset details and take advanced actions through the Service Core console. In order to have that data, you also have to own Asset Core.  That's at a high level.  Let me know if you need more specific details on Asset Core, I am happy to send additional information directly to you and, if needed, we can arrange a follow on conversation - if that would be helpful.

Oh, and thank you for attending the event in Dallas.  I hope you learned a lot and enjoyed meeting the team and visiting with your FP peers in the Dallas area!

Thank you for the information.  I appreciate your response.  I think for now, we will just focus on what we have with FPSC, and try to get it to work more efficiently for us.

    Best Regards,
