When you say lock up, do you mean it freezes, takes up all the workstations resource? Is this temporary?
If so, this isn't normal behaviour. Whilst powerful, the agent is a small footprint on the machine.

Looks like it was a temporary hiccup. Something happened that caused the agent install to fail. Once that was resolved the workstation was again responsive.
