many more on communities, since all lis tomcat you may be successful
or Maybe its possible just to create some Kind of dns alias that would send you back to the Default URL

use the root package in the thread and you are done Redirect URL since Tomcat 8.5 - ootb, easy to use, update proof
Assuming your application is found under the new URL (context in the tomcat world).
I have done it by adding rewrite rules to the Tomcat/Apache server.
Thanks for the advice.
The URL rewrite is working fine. I am now trying to get rid of the hash in the URLs of TSPS. So far my configurations did not work.
This is the rule which works in general to make the TSPS available under the URL https://<servername>/tsps/:
RewriteRule ^/tsps/(.*)$ /$1
However, when browsing to the Devices-View as example, we get this ugly hash '#' in the URL: https://<servername>/tsps/#/monitoring/devices
I tried this but it doesn't work:
RewriteRule ^/tsps/(.*)$ /#/$1
Any suggestions how to change the rewrite rule to get rid of this hash?
