Few points to be consider in this scenario
- Does Control-M calendar configured with Bank Holidays (if so check if you marked 2nd Oct has bank holiday)
- How are you ordering jobs (Specific Userdaily on Specific Time or Automatic Userdaily )
- What time your Control-M new day starts
Please confirm above points
Can you post a screenshot of the job's schedule from planning showing the advanced scheduling criteria?
Also go to job properties -> Scheduling -> View Schedule
That should open up a calendar & show all the dates the job runs on. Can you post that as well?
Answering to your Question -
1 . 2nd October is not marked as bank holiday in Calendar.
2. Job is getting triggered through Automatic Userdaily (System User daily)
3. Our Control-M New day starts at 00:00 CST.
Thanks for responding!!
I just found something, please see periods (scheduling tab) in attached docx (SCHEDULLING TAB) which shows three dots on 2nd Date. Is that related to our concern.
Document also have snapshot of calendar.
Awaiting your response.
The dots mean that there are rules applied on that date. Right click on the date to see what rules are applied. That might give some insight.
Also, is there any confirmation calendar rules setup?
It actually states to order that number of days from the beginning of the month (2nd business day of month). Also no confirmation calendar rule setup here so Job should have ran on 2nd October. Please advise.
Yes, it should have run on 2nd Oct. But, the logs you attached are from 9th Sep. Can you post the logs of the job in the Word doc (XFAMTM00902) for 3rd Oct?
Ok, sorry I attached wrong logs (different job - which I did removed).
Job did not ran on 2nd October (no logs) and was manually ordered on 3rd October (attached).
Sorry, I couldn't figure out anything from the logs.
One thing you can do is order this job separately, in Dev/Test without 'ignore scheduling criteria'. for order date 2nd Oct. As soon as you do that there should be an action report created. If you look at the action report, it may give more information like if its actually not supposed to run on that date etc.
Thanks Bhanu for checking this,
We did ask our schedulers to follow above once and I will update you on this.
