Unless you have created a business rule whose action is to send email to a recipient, where that rule is triggered based on some criteria being met, the user will not get an email
So, are you saying you have a rule that is not sending an action? or were you expecting FP to auto email a new user account?

When I started working with FP v12.08 (06/03), my boss created me an Agent Account and I received the validation email to activate it and start working with it. I am assuming that is standard way FP notifies all user the availability of a new creation for him/her, not matter the privileges, permissions, roles or containers/workspaces granted.
Am I assuming right or not?

Not, I am not dealing with a business rules which is not working as I need. When I started working with FP v12.08 (06/03), my boss created me an Agent Account and I received the validation email to activate it and start working with it. I am assuming that, EVERY SINGLE TIME that you create a brand new Agent Account, FP v12.08 is going to notify its availabilty to him/her, as a normal practice nowadays in almost every application we register in.
Am I assuming right or not?
Also, the Agent Account I am having hard tiem with, is intented for someone that is not registered in my domain (mine is "@gb-advisors.com" and his is "@temsa.net.mx"). Should I consider another aspects in creating it? By the way, the account is created accordingly (I can see it in "Administration > Users" screen), but the new Agent tell me he´s not receiving any account validation email

As Linda pointed out, FP does not auto email a user when their account is created with a validation message. (that I know of.)

Vern Meyer Aug 16, 2019 9:02 AM (in response to Carlos Esteban Martinez Incerri)I'm thinking that maybe there is something else at play here. Not to be a broken record, but footprints doesn't have that functionality baked into the system.
I'm curious on a few things:
- What authentication method are you using?
- Look at your initial email if you still have it, is the sender set up in footprints email settings?
- Do you know for a fact that it's not being sent? Or could the user just not be receiving it? If they are outside of your org, they may have different email settings blocking your email no matter what it's coming from.
- You say the email was to activate the footprints account, What's the process for activation? The closest thing I can think of in footprints is the customer sign-up page.

You know what? after reading Vern´s question, I checked my email folder related to BMC/FP and realized that I was watching an email for account validation for another portal, so after feeling more useless than ususal, I also felt the need to apologize for making you to waste your precious time, and thank you for the helping mood. Yesterday, after reading your posts, I wrote an email to the customer with his user id, password and URL and he could log in and we work today pretty fine. If I could return your help, I will do it, I can only pay you praying God to bless you all, even more.

Sabes, estoy muy presionado por este proyecto, es mi 1ero y solo tengo 2 meses usando FP, por lo que lo me deje llevar por una mala interpretación. I am really ashamed Cristy, and again, I ask you all to forgive me, I didn´t mean it. You know? I am really under high presion in this project, it´s my 1st and I only have 2 moths of experience using FP, and I left myself go after my own wrong guessing.
