You can check the appropriate Dataset and Metrics directly in the TSCO Console UI (see the screenshot below).
In your case I think it could be appropriate to select the dataset named SYSNET and corresponding metrics could be:Since those
In_Discards -> BYIF_IN_PKT_DISC_PCT
Out_Discards -> BYIF_OUT_PKT_DISC_PCT
Since, as you said, those are percentage, you could define your own custom metrics to be added to a specific dataset you have in mind to use for your implementation:
I hope it helps,
Thanks for your response.
Metrics you have proposed have PERCENTAGE as unit while the data i have is not in percentage and that is why i was looking for respective metrics.
Anyway, I have extended the required data-set by creating 2 new metrics in it and used those 2 custom metrics in my ETL.
It sounds good.
Yes I think it is the right approach as I suggested in my reply. It does make sense to use custom metrics.
is there a way, that instead creating the custom Metric using TCO console (manually), we could check and create the same custom Metric in ETL run time?
I mean, do we have any way to extend our ETL code to check, if required metric exist in said data-set and if not, it could create the same? If yes, appreciate, if you could share some links for the same.

Currently we don't have any way to create custom metrics through ETL at run time. Custom metrics are have to be added beforehand in "Datasets and Metrics" section.
Thanks and Regards,
