1. Re: Survey - Adoption of Views and Quickviews
Joshua Lenning May 6, 2019 4:18 PM (in response to John Fulton)1 of 1 people found this helpfulsurvey submitted! Happy to see some enhancements to QV being considered. As stated in my survey, our org uses Views (light users) and QuickViews (advanced users), and My Dashboard is a godsend. (Although the name can be confused with SF Dashboards.)

We are still a little light on responses. Please consider taking just 5 minutes to complete this quick survey. I promise you that the few questions are straight-forward and easy. Your feedback is important to use. Thank you.

Joshua Lenning - Thanks for the feedback. Can you elaborate on why light users use Views and and advanced users use QuickViews? We are leaning towards leveraging Views in the initial design as it appears a higher percentage of customers are using them over QuickViews. Early results from this survey are confirming this position. Thanks

Joshua Lenning May 13, 2019 9:17 AM (in response to John Fulton)4 of 4 people found this helpfulOur light users just open the console and change the dropdown. Basically its "easy" and they don't dig for more. These users also rely on email too much as well.
Our users who are very interested in maintaining their workflow, use quickviews that give them a better view of what is open/pending their team.
QuickViews are easier to setup filters, conditional formatting, and Multiple Data Sources (Views will likely never have this feature).
It's understandable if views are more popular that they get improvements first. As long as we dont lose any existing quickview features as that would severely impact our productivity.

We've received 16 responses to date. In summery, all use views and half also use quickviews. I'm hoping to receive at least 5-10 more responses, but it is looking like we will prioritize views over quickviews when delivering (at least in v1) an enhancement in the console to provide an optional "metrics bar" so users can see what's most relevant to them in one place. More details on this enhancement will be available in a future EAP. If you are interested in learning more in the meantime, please feel free to contact me (john_fulton@bmc.com) to discuss this pending enhancement. Thanks

Frank Barbaro Jul 18, 2019 12:39 PM (in response to John Fulton)1 of 1 people found this helpfulI've completed the survey and based on our discussion yesterday, I am definitely on board with any and all enhancements that may be on the way in the near future. I have staff members assigned to multiple queues (overlapping job responsibilities) and need to see both incidents and tasks. Quick views are currently the only way to have all of their work display in one place.
