Which version of Remedy are you on? Are you using AIE (older product) or AI? Are you importing into the CMDB or into custom forms?
Sorry, I should have mentioned that.
We're using Remedy 8.1. And the Atrium Integration Engine - AIE Console.
Importing into the CMDB (BMC.CORE:BMC_ComputerSystem for example).
Have you run AIE in debug mode and turn on the filter logs to see whats going on? How do you map all these attributes which are not being populated?
The debug log on the server doesn't record any errors during load.
For the columns that aren't being populated, I'm mapping them the same as all the rest which are.
BMC_ComputerSystem.OrderID = C:\Program Files\BMC Software\AtriumCore\aie\service64\data\EquipmentLoad.Order_ID
BMC_ComputerSystem.Floor = C:\Program Files\BMC Software\AtriumCore\aie\service64\data\EquipmentLoad.Floor
BMC_ComputerSystem.LastScanDate = C:\Program Files\BMC Software\AtriumCore\aie\service64\data\EquipmentLoad.Last_Scan_Date
BMC_ComputerSystem.AssetID = C:\Program Files\BMC Software\AtriumCore\aie\service64\data\EquipmentLoad.CI_Name
BMC_ComputerSystem.Model= C:\Program Files\BMC Software\AtriumCore\aie\service64\data\EquipmentLoad.Product_Name
BMC_ComputerSystem.Description= C:\Program Files\BMC Software\AtriumCore\aie\service64\data\EquipmentLoad.Additional_Information
I have confirmed that none of the character fields will be truncated. The date fields may be because I am inserting text from the Excel, but then why only the LastScanDate?
are you sure the attributes are not populated are Computer Class attributes or Asset attributes? at the moment i don't have access to system but my feelings are these are AST:Attributes form fields that's why you don't see them loaded.
You need to identify these fields first and make sure to load them separate.
I admit to being a little confused. They are on the Computer Class form, all of them, otherwise they wouldn't be available for mapping on the import. (In fact they are all in the Base Element class).
Can you explain further?
Any ideas? Our clients have given us a 'drop dead' date of April 1st, and I have no idea how to start debugging this. >_<
Unfortunately i don't have AIE installed and its been over 4 years working on it. Turn on the SQL logs , Filter logs and debugging should give you clue where its failing.
Have you put in a support ticket yet?
AIE debug log is quite helpful if I remember correctly. Turn on the debug logging (Enabling debug logging - Documentation for BMC Atrium Core 8.1 - BMC Documentation ) and import only one problematic record for easier troubleshooting.
You could also consider migrating to AI:

You are importing data for CMDB class and not for AST: Attributes.
Below attributes are part of AST:Attribute now (v8.x). Which version are you on?
- Project Number
- Available Date
- Received Date
We're on 8.1.
Okay, since that seems to match the list of my problematic fields, Ganesh, that could be the reason. But I still don't understand what that means.
In the CI Class Mapping for AIE, the only forms we have as options are for the BMC namespaces: BMC.AM, BMC.CORE, BMC.CORE.CONFIG, BMC.FED, BMC.MAINFRAME
There is no option to create a mapping for AST:Attributes. All of these fields are on BMC:BaseElement, which in Class Manager is related to BMC:ComputerSystem. I don't know how to create a mapping to AST:Attributes.
Would migrating to AI help me do this?
You could try to import into AST:ComputerSystem which is a join between AST:Attributes & BMC.CORE:BMC_Computersystem.
Edit: Is the 8.1 system an upgrade or a fresh install? The reason I'm asking is, that I recall an option to remove the asset attributes from the cmdb forms and maybe this wasn't done.
Sorry, I literally have no other option but items prefixed with BMC_ on the CI Class mappings. However, as I mentioned before, it is not importing into a specific form, but rather a class. BMC_ComputerSystem (which includes BMC_BaseElement, where all the fields are located).
8.1 was upgraded from 7.6.04 in 2014, however this option doesn't sound familiar.
