What is the server tcp/ip port? have you defined or using registered with port mapper then default is port is 0?
Look at the <AR Installed path>/conf/ar.conf file and look for the line TCD-Specific-Port:
use the same port number in your dev studio connection under TCP column.
the tcp/ip port is 0.
When I try to do a log in I do not enter any port and appear the arerr90 message.
can you login to server using midtier? is server reachable from the machine (dev studio) you are trying to connect?
Try performing a telnet/ping on the Server TCP/IP address from the machine from were you are accessing Developer Studio. It could be firewall restriction issue.
I only can login from the ar server and mid tier server
Can you login as admin user id through midtier and navigate to Applications --> AR System Administration --> AR System Administration Console --> System --> General --> Server Information
click on the tab Ports and Queues
Look at the **Server TCP/IP Port: Do you see any number there? if yes then use that when login to Dev studio.
If you see any number in TCP/IP Port fiel use that in login to Dev Studio as seen below.
Otherwise make sure the machine (Dev studio is installed) has access to myremedyserver.fqdn (you can replace with your machine name), ping it telnet and see AR server machine is accessible.
Was that working before the upgrade? I will just enter 0 on dev studio under TCP and try again.
When you launch the dev studio and it asks for the workspace, try to change to different name and copy the path ( for checking if there are error logs) and see what you get.

Also try the following ( we don't know how you are trying to connect)
1) first use the server name
2) try with server name with fully qualified name
3) try with ip address instead of server name
***See if any success, else create support ticket, at least they can webex with you to troubleshoot.
It looks like the server is not accessible from the machine you are running developer studio. Check for firewalls from the network team.
Here are the things that you can try.
1. Give the IP of the server machine instead of server name and check.
2. Launch java driver from the machine where developer studio is installed and fire a gf command to get any form from the server.
