Custom FootPrints MS SQL Database Names

    Chris VanBuskirk

I am doing an implementation, a clean install, of FootPrints 20.18.02. I want to have one instance of MS SQL Server house two different FootPrints DBs: one for a test environment and one for a prod environment. What is the best approach?

I could create the DBs in SQL, giving them the desireable respective names, and then at FootPrints install(s), point to the prexisting DB? Any risks there? Maybe FP needs the DB files to be a certain way (file for tables, file for indexes, etc.)?

I could do the install and then rename the DB after the fact and then repoint FootPrints to the new name?

      Thoughts? Best practice?
