    Concrete Collection and Impact Modeling

      Looking for feedback or confirmation regarding Impact Modeling.  Starting with ADDM and using CAM, Functional components become Concrete Collections in the CMDB.  I have 4 Application Service CI's (each on a different server) that are a member of the Concrete Collection.  Using the Impact attributes of the Application Service CI's to the Concrete Collection, I can model the impact to the Application containing the Concrete Collections Yes?  Is there a better way to do this?  Since ADDM populated the CI's and Mapped Applications, this seems the closet starting point to showing how a group of servers impact the Application since if 1 of the 4 is down, the other 3 Application Services can still provide the needed functionality to the Application.

          Is your question about concrete collection's relationship should be impacted by sets of functional components?  Is there any other way to do this relationship?

          You are stuck with OOTB relationship if you have ADDM or discovery.  "FunctionalComponent nodes representing CAM Functional Components are mapped to.BMC_ConcreteCollection The relationship between BMC_Application and BMC_ConcreteCollection is used for Functional Components reached from any of the following node kinds:"  If you were to map the relationship on your own in CMDB, it should be the same standards unless you're using another discovery tool.
