I think there should be a couple of ways to do this. Firstly, as RSSO uses the same standard Oracle JDBC driver as the AR Server, you should be able to enable Oracle's native client encryption with a few simple changes on the database side. There's a blog post describing the process for AR here
and I believe this should also work for RSSO.
The second option is SSL which requires the generation of a certificate and importing this in to the Java instance that Tomcat is using. Once this is done the Tomcat JDBC connection string needs to be modified to specify that SSL be used. Again, I think this should require very similar steps to AR. That is documented here
Use the steps in this blog to get your certificate imported and find the correct JDBC connection string format and then use the docs link below for details of how to set the value in the RSSO Tomcat database.properties file.
