        That is good to hear.

        The installation logs are in the AllLogs*.zip file in this thread. Note: /opt is /app on this system. There is a symlink from /opt/bmc to /app/bmc because the installer seems to hardcode /opt. Installer logs are available under app/tmp/tmp

        Other changes, mostly triming nr of rows, are made using driver commands.

        AR System Server Group Operation Ranking

        I do not have eye witness reports on the server after upgrading. But we do have an automated driver command that sets the values to 1 on the primary server and 2 on the secondary server. On the primary and secondary server this is done after upgrading has completed on that server. So currently the primary server has rank 1 and the secondary rank null.

        I can go back and create a csv file for every step of the way if you want.

          I wanted to share some RIK logs with you and corelate them with data. The AR-servers were down after a few OS patches had been distributed (the server team always restarts the servers, we hadn't enabled automatic restarts at this time).

          When I started the primare server - there were "[Post Upgrade]" messages. I verified that the fields where now Done/Completed (they were) and tried to run the installer again. This time it worked.

          This is a bit weird, why would the first upgrade compelete, and then "downgrade" when a secondary server was added?

          I will investigate my option.txt files to see if I can find some mistake. I will have to investigate this behaviour a bit further before feeling safe to try in production.

            Hi Peter,

            Thanks for sharing the logs earlier. I think I just found out the root cause. In your secondary server AR install logs, it shows:

                LOG EVENT {Description=[SET PROPERTY BMC_DBONLY_UPGRADE_CONFIRM],Detail=[true]}

            That's why it's trying to perform upgrade and it ran upgrade utility

                PROGRESS EVENT {Description=[arserver.installer.preupgrade.description],Progress=[5],Detail=[ Executing Database Upgrade Utility]}

            That's the one that updates control.upgradeStatus column. Hence the issue.

            Can you confirm if your silent file contains BMC_DBONLY_UPGRADE_CONFIRM = true, we know the root cause.

            Removing that should give us expected result.

            Thanks and Regards,

            Ashutosh.

              Oups. We do have "BMC_DBONLY_UPGRADE_CONFIRM=true" in our options.txt.

              I will go ahead and remove it.

              It should be, and will be, removed as it is no longer supported.

              It has been with us since 9.1.00, (upgrades to 9.1.01, 9.1.02 and 9.1.03), but this is the first time it caused an issue.

              Totally a mistake on my part.

                Thanks Peter. Please do let us know the result of the upgrade after removing this property whenever you can.

                Thanks and Regards,
