1. Re: How do to make a Incident Object field available for use on the Console - Incident Detail page
Mohd Shahid Khan May 15, 2018 9:01 PM (in response to Craig Hurst)To add the field in the Incident Console you have to add the field in the Incident "Fields Sets" in the Incident custom object.
The Incident object have Field Sets like:
Column Headers
Console - Client Details, Console - Date and Time, Console - Incident Details, Console - Service and CI, Console - Status and Priority Etc.
To access the Incident field sets:
>Go to Setup | Create | Objects | Incident Object
>Scroll down to the fields sets select 'edit' for the field set in which you want to add the field.
>To add new fields to the list of incidents in the Incident Console Tab, Drag and Drop the fields to the Column Headers field
>Click save
>Verify the desired field appear in the Incident Console.

Joshua Lenning May 23, 2018 10:49 AM (in response to Craig Hurst)1 of 1 people found this helpfulMy guess is you cannot add this field. It is specifically used as part of the Email Action. Anything typed in the "Insert additional..." space is included in the email sent. (Assuming you have the field part of the email template)
