What is "Enabled SSL Protocol" used for?

    Marvin Schumacher

      Please see the attached file.

What exactly does this do?  There is no literature that I can find that details what this is used for.  Can someone please give me a detailed explanation of how to use this and when it should be used?

This allow you to select which communication has to be used.

BMC Client Management supports both TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2.

Because TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 are less secure than TLS 1.2, you may want to only use TLS 1.2 for communication between two BMC Client Management agents, and between BMC Client Management agent and browsers.

If you set "Enabled SSL Protocol = TLS 1.2" then BMC Client Management agent will only use this protocol for communication.
