I'm not familiar with MASSL or anything of it's sort, but you may need to end up creating an AREA plugin to support the implementation.
Thanks for the response, LJ.
We are now looking at consuming an https webservice to obtain an authentication token.
Is this something your Restful API plugin would support?
I'm not sure....the Restful plugin is used by Remedy to get data....if this is an authentication process, it's done by the user before getting in, so it wouldn't apply...but if this is a Restful service that Remedy needs to consume to get a token to then go somewhere and do something with that token, then yes, it may be of use
We are getting closer with your Restful Plugin.
When trying to Auto Generate Field Records we are seeing the following error:
ARException making call: ERROR (8790): Unknown system error; IOException connecting to URL: Received fatal alert: bad_certificate
Ok....so, bad_certificate....that would indicate that the remote system is using https....is there anything wrong with the certificate? I ask because I worked with someone awhile back that the certificate wasn't issued to the dns name that they were using to connect and it was causing issues...if you use just IE or Chrome to make the same Rest Call....does it complain in any way about accepting the certificate the server is providing?
I can make the call from my workstation with no errors but IE is disabled for anything non local on my server
what about from the server making the Rest Call through the API...is there a browser you can try on that machine?
Does the Jetty server need to be running for your plugin to work?
No, my plugin is independent of anything that that BMC does.
