Try this updated version where server 2 is the server name you are redirecting to.
<%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1"%>
String queryString = request.getQueryString();
String redirectURL = "http://<server2>.comp.com:8080/arsys/shared/login.jsp?" + queryString;
Thank you so much, I would definitely give it a try and will let you know my results.
Solution perfectly working for me, thanku so much.
I have a use case to redirect one specific URL Example : Redirect http://<hostname>/ICT to http://<hostname>/arsys/forms/<servername>/SRS:ServiceRequestConsole/Default+Administrator+View/
Is there a way to achieve this using the above method? Thank you.
If you are already using Tomcat 8.5, it is an ootb feature and purely configurative. Yes, you can implement it with this.
For example, we were able to shorten the direct links in all notification messages considerably.
Is this something new in Tomcat 8.5? Can you give some more details on where it is configured?
Before tomcat 8.5 we used the tuckey UrlRewriteFilter. Since Tomcat 8.5 apache rewrite engine is integrated ootb.
I will write a short blog and document 1-2 examples from us. Maybe I'll make it by the beginning of next week.
That is very cool! Thanks for the info. I had not looked at what is new in 8.5 but have started to use it since it is the stable and new(ish).
