I was able to get AR server to start by giving our service account write access to the /tmp directory; however, I'm still getting another error. I cleared the /opt/bmc/ARSystem/bundle-cache folder and restarted services, but that didn't help.
Application context refresh failed (OsgiBundleXmlApplicationContext(bundle=com.bmc.arsys.assignmentEngine, config=bundleentry://173.fwk1874154700/OSGI-INF/blueprint/application_context.xml))
java.lang.IllegalStateException: BundleContext is no longer valid
Have you run the config checker?
Also make sure all directories in /opt/bmc have rwx for the owner chmod -R u+rwx *
That ended up being it. I had run the startup script as root one more time after granting rwx on /tmp to the owner, so there were some files in the opt/bmc directory owned by root. Thanks!!!
Also change owner on /etc/arsystem
