Here is the link to integrate approval server with custom application.

You need to run joinfix utitilty first then create approval process and rules.

Setting up the approval process - BMC Remedy Action Request System 8.1 - BMC Documentation

        https://docs.bmc.com/docs/display/ars81/Running%2Bthe%2Bapproval%2Butilities

You can run the following approval utilities by running the approval-utils.bat (Windows) or approval-utils.sh (UNIX) file:

Approval Join Fix - joinfix (See Running the Approval Join Fix utility)

Approval Change Schema - chgschema (See Approval Change Schema utility)

Approval Upgrade - upgrade (See Overview of the Approval upgrade utility)

        To run the approval utilities

Open the approval-utils.bat or approval-utils.sh file in the approvalServerInstallDir\bin directory.

        The interface prompts as follows:

        Command:

Type the name of the utility that you want to run.

If you type joinfix, and press enter, the interface displays the parameters for the utility and prompts the user to enter the required arguments as follows:

          [-m Mode]

          Hi Alberto,

PFB steps to integrate approval server with custom application. Please try these and let me know

          1. 1.Create custom Application(Form)---AP:Custom_Approval
          2. 2.Create one backend form used for Approver--AP:Custom_Approval_Backend
          3. 3.Create two way join form of AP: AP:Custom_Approval and AP:Detail
          4. 4.Create three way join form of AP: AP:Custom_Approval and AP:Detail_Signature
          5. 5.Create one filter on main form AP:Custom_Approval on submit use run process

          Application-Command Approval New-Details -t "Custom_Approval"

          1. 6.Register form in AP:Forms form
          2. 7.Create process fro approval using AP:Process definition form
          3. 8.Create rule using AP:Rules form
          4. 9.Now run exe....C:\Program Files\BMC Software\ARSystem\approval\bin\arjoinfix.exe
          5. 9.now create requests in backend form for login id and managers name..
          6. 10.now create requet on main form and check approval for defined criteria is working or not.....

          Application-Command Approval New-Details -t "Process Name"

This command send request on Application Pending form first and then It goes to approval engine for Approvals.
