Yes, I believe you are right, that Trusight will consolidate similar events into one event so it creates one ticket in Remedy. I moved this question to the Trusight forum for input from the experts there.
Remedy isn't really set up to consolidate the events; that should be done by the monitoring tool.
This is a good example of using Truesight/BPPM as the Event manager, from 3rd Party monitoring systems.
To manage the many Events into one Incident you would use a Policy or Rule to Correlate or De-duplicate the Events before they are Propagated to Remedy. Policies are set in the Admin Console and Rules are created by writing *.mrl files which are placed in the Event Management Cells rule repository and compiled before restarting the Cell. The result is the same in broad terms, but old hands will tell you that rules are more flexible and can be more tailored for specific situations but require more work, while Policies are better for broad groupings and outcomes and less flexible with specifics and customisations.
