If you want to get or set a value, don't use the .val or .text from JQuery, use the functions from ARS, for example:
Set a value:
If you use .val or .txt, visually you'll feel the value is in the field, but it won't actually be registered in the Remedy field itself:
Get a value:
The reason why shouldn't use .val or .txt to get a value is that an invisible field isn't in the DOM so JQuery can't acess it. So if it's visible you can access it using .val or .txt but if it's not, you should use this:
can you explain me please what do you mean: "use the functions from ARS"
Well I gave you an example.
To set a field, rather than using the JQuery function:
$("#arid_WIN_0_536870916").val(" Incident Number = INC000000064311 ");
Use the "Set" function from Remedy:
F(0,536870916).S(new CharType("Incident Number = INC000000064311"));
The Mid-Tier has its own set of functions that are in ClientCore.js, but that aren't documented, so you'll have to see how it works yourself mainly
Though with a couple of functions you should be safe (Get/Set...) and calling an active link guide;
ok i will check thank you
Now just change this in your code (the "Set" part), and it should work ok.
can you please tell me how i can get the value from check box with the id of:
