      Folks,

      I am getting this below exception in the flashboard server logs...

      90

      Error

      Cannot establish a network connection to the AR System server XXXX

      AR Server and Flashboard both are in same machine and the AR Server Name is correct with which flashboard is trying to connect with....and AR Server is having port mapper ....i doubt this could be due to tcp port configuration issue??

      i mean in the flashboard config file i see a line TCP Port=0, should we have to comment this?? so that it arsystem port mapper will handle the request and assign the port???

      Symptoms,

      Due to which no flashboards are working getting HTTP 500 error.

          Flashboard uses following properties to connect to AR server in the server.conf file.

          Can you please check that it is correctlly configured

          ARServerName=SERVER NAME

          Password=

          Language=

          ARServerTcpPort=0

          ARServerRpcNumber=0

          Also check with other componenet like email are they able to connect to AR server as well.

            Not sure if you tried this:

            Flush the plugin caches first in Midtier

            Then restart the ARS service and then restart flashboard service

            See the logs and post here.

            JFYI: If you are using portmapper then it will take care those settings bydefault. dont make any changes in config files as of now.

              so this gotta be my application service password is not synced properly between arserver and flashboard server....so i am trying to sync the same may be something like this gotta be done here too to reset the same at flashboard server end(below is the way we do it with email engine)

              To fix the issue, run the EmailStart.bat (Windows) or emaild.sh (UNIX) script by passing the -p "applicationServicePassword" parameter.

                    Regarding this following  error

                    java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.remedy.arsys.plugincontainer.DefinitionKey.<init>(Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;)

                    I feel the dependent jar files for midtire are not in sync i.e it could be differnet version, have you upgraded the midtire?

                      Hey

                      Focus on this error:

                      <***ERROR Could not login to arserver ADCOSPWEB3> ERROR (90): Cannot establish a network connection to the AR System server; Connection refused: connect ADCOSPWEB3

                      Connection Refused error popup ususally when it tries to connect to port and its not open or not available.

                      So my question is, are you using default flashboard port numbers or other than that:

                      Default Ports Are:

                      Flashboards Server RMI Port1099
                      Flashboards Server RPC Program Number0
                      Email Engine RMI Port1100
                      Email Engine Server RPC Program Number0

                      Check if this ports are open and listening.

                        Hey Ashwanth,

                        I have seen an error like this while viewing Task flow in ITSM 7.6. This was because the Minimum API version was set to 14 and the API's  that come OOTB to view the task flow are still the old 7.0 API's.  Can you please check if you have a Minimum API parameter set in your ar.conf?

                        Regards,

                        Aditya K

                          I synced application service password using fb driver and upgraded midtier to get rid of these errors...dint had much time to work on the cause as there were http exceptions at various use cases.....

                          Thank you all.....
