      Share This:

      Hi,

      I need to create multiple users in the AR System by uplodaing as csv file---Through JAVA-API.

      For that first I am pushing data on a intermediate form. But I need to check if those user are existing already on the intermediate from so as to make a check that- I am not pushing duplicate users. Please suggest the JAVA-API method to get/check the existing users in the intermediate form.

          You could use a getlistentryobjects with a qualification on the field where you store the remedy login ID, for example:

          https://communities.bmc.com/communities/message/261578#261578

          In your case since it's just a test to see if it exists, the maxretrieve should be at 1, check the documentation

          In the example I give here, it's something like this:

          https://communities.bmc.com/communities/message/231184#231184

          In example from the first post you have:

          String queryString="'Alert ID' > 200";

          QualifierInfo qual = contxt.parseQualification(formname,queryString);

          entrylistdata=contxt.getListEntryObjects(formname, qual, firstRetrive, maxRetrive, null, entrylist, uselocale, outint);

          In your case, you would have to put:

          String queryString="'Remedy Login ID' = \"test\"";

          QualifierInfo qual = contxt.parseQualification(formname,queryString);

          entrylistdata=contxt.getListEntryObjects(formname, qual, 0, 1, null, entrylist, uselocale, outint);

          And get the value of "outint" it'll tell you how many records are to be fetched (how many items matched the qualification).
