Yep sorry I wasn't clear enough.

    No way,

In the licenses I have add 15 licenses to FTS

    200.PNG

But in the check licenses appear alway -5 Licenses Available and Licenses to be loaded 0 !!

    201.PNG

Also I have a problem with the Change Management Licenses -1. Licenses Available means fixed users, or floating users??

  • 18. Re: People Console job

In fact FTS licenses are irrelevant. That's why you need to give every people "floating" FTS licenses.

It's more a server license, not for people (not sure there) but it works like this.

Anyway, all your people should have "floating" for their fts licenses, period. Forget "fixed".

As per change well, perhaps you are using "floating" licenses and you didn't have any in stock? In the licenses list do you have defined fixed and floating licenses?

  • 19. Re: People Console job
    Fernando Negre

In change i have this licenses.

    200.PNG

And in the check appears this:

Change Management: Licenses Available= -1  Licenses to be loaded = 10

    Anyone undestand this concepts?

  • 20. Re: People Console job
    Laurent Matheo

Don't know... In your 10 people you load are there only "fixed" / "floating" or is there "submit" as well?

Just add some licenses and see if the "-1" disappears.

  • 21. Re: People Console job
    Fernando Negre

No way, this has no sense I have added the Change Management app, user fix and user float, and also I have restart the server and still the same Licenses Available= -1  Licenses to be loaded = 10

  • 22. Re: People Console job
    Ashwanth Padmanaban

so if you go to User form and do a search of %BMC:Change Mgmt User Fixed% in the Application License Field...how many entries are coming up??

basically it should not be more than 7 isn't it? if you find any extra licenses are allocated to some people pls release/delete that license from them...

and the same way you can check for %BMC:Change Mgmt User Floating%.....make sure it is not exceeding 2....this makes you to in complaince..and then you totally if 9 of them already you have allocated(7+2) then you may need to think of increasing the change fixed and floating licenses as per your number of change fixed and floating users you are trying to load from the people management console......

  • 23. Re: People Console job
    Laurent Matheo

Yep but perhaps that was the query of last time. You have to make it "re run" so it calculates again.

  • 24. Re: People Console job
    Fernando Negre

%BMC:Change Mgmt User Fixed% this returns 3 records.

%BMC:Change Mgmt User Floating% this returns 0 records

But I guess the license check form is not working properly.

  • 25. Re: People Console job
    Ashwanth Padmanaban

the way it is calculated is ...it checks how many fixed license are given ...its 7 from the Add/Remove license the count will be retrieved

and then how many of them are in use by checking

Application License LIKE (%BMC:Change Mgmt User Fixed%)...in your case you are saying 3

now the count of used license will be subtracted with the total license...and that value is the available license for the Change Management...

so as per you the available license should be 7-3=4

so now lets confirm this ...run a job and before running trigger the filter logs from the

    Home Page--->AR System Administration Console--->General--->Server Information---->Log Files Tab---->Filter...

and once the job is processed...stop the logs and then attach it here...lets confirm your numbers....

What means to run a job. For example I execute an update in a user account?

log is empty...you gotta start before running the people update and stop once that is done...

you gotta start the logs before running that people update job...

    Home Page--->AR System Administration Console--->General--->Server Information---->Log Files Tab---->Filter...

and once the job is processed...then only stop the logs and then attach it here...lets see what is happening....
