Start time delay one minute

SeungWanBok NameToUpdate

Hi,

So far one job started 16:50 correctly as defined in job definition and saw 19 times normal in Statistics.

But today this job started 16:51 despite all conditions satisfied.

In this case what was problem?

Is this normal? Sometimes controlm delay start time one minute or more minutes?

How about your controlm?

Thanks.

    Hi,

This generally happens depending on the number of jobs waiting to start in the queue and server load. Though Control-M server processess the requests in muti-threading delays for 1 minute are more common.

    Thanks

    Thank you for your response.

But our customer didn’t understand this situation.

They think that if how they can trust controlm even if start time delay.

Could you tell me know if this situation mentioned in manual?

Or more detail explain to me why happened this issue?

And I would like to know if this is BMC official opinion.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

There are different ways the performance of Control-M Server can be improved to fix this issue. Increasing the number of CS processes, analying logs to see if there is any other issue causing the delay, review job schedule for settings that cause high load on server.

You can write to BMC and ask for a solution ascertain the existing performane of CS and if problem exists ask for a solution.

    Thanks
