We are planning to trigger a remote action which is basically a script to restart a service when the memory consumed by it will breach a certain threshold that we will set.
My understanding of remote action is that it is a manual trigger of an action (either diagnostic or corrective action) when a certain event occurs.
I would like to know if we could trigger a remote action through a rule/policy as we want to automate the triggering of remote action.
Any suggestions or advice on the above will be very helpful.
Yes you can trigger the remote action through a POlicy as well by using the Remote action POlicy.
While creating the policy you need to select a remote action that should be triggered when the policy runs.
