Can someone look into this and help me with it, please.
You can use an Active Link with the following command
The 9999999999 must be replaced with the field ID of teh field you want to gain focus on, it does not seem to work with field name.
I have the requirement that both menus on my vertical navigation field (custom form) are expanded on window open. I set the Navigational Initial State to the first menu which expands fine. However when added an active link to fire PERFORM-ACTION-NAV-FIELD-SET-SELECTED-ITEM 536870876 on window open to expand the second menu the result was that both menus were collapsed instead.
Before I added that active link I could just click the second menu (field ID 536870876) and it would expand while the first menu would remain expanded. Any idea if this is expected behavior? I am running ARS 7.1.0 Patch 011 so it could be version-specific behavior.
Apparently I was too hasty to post my question. As soon as I posted it I figured out that I had misread the command and changed it to the field ID of one of the menu items instead of the menu itself. This caused the menu to expand on window open as expected but then the menu specified in the Navigational Initial State was collapsed.
My solution was to add a second run process command against a menu item in the first menu so now on window open both menus are expanded which was my goal. Apologies to anyone who read my monologue here and didn't pick up anything useful, I'll just put a five minute wait timer on future posts like this to prevent talking to myself quite as often.
