1. Remedyforce customization
Anne BrockMay 24, 2012 3:52 PM (in response to Ezra Wise)
I don't believe you'll be able to have custom fields show up on the VF page for tasks. If you look at application settings/custom fields, we only have incidents and change requests on the drop down. Someone else may know of a way to do it, but the standard way won't work.
Have you upgraded to the spring release yet? We are using standard forms with the spring release (out in the last week or two) and with them, you can add fields to Task form and put them where you need them.

Ezra Wise May 24, 2012 5:03 PM (in response to Anne Brock)Thank you, Anne. I'll review the Spring update. I just registered for a RF trial this week, but I'm not sure whether or not it contains the latest update.

If you are interested - we did a webinar yesterday using the spring release; it was recorded and will show up on this page hopefully in the next few days

Um - I should admit I did the webinar, but I'm not trying to boost my viewings or anything; it's just the first recording I know of with the spring release. It's not out there yet, but hopefully soon!
We do live webinars on RemedyForce every other Thursday; the schedule is at

The next one is June 7th.

Ezra Wise May 25, 2012 10:50 AM (in response to Anne Brock)Ah, that makes sense. I looked all over yesterday, but couldn't figure out how to update to the Spring release.
Does your webinar cover adding custom fields to standard objects, such as Tasks (and not just Incidents and Changes)? If so, then I'll happily bump up your views by at least 1!
Thanks again,

If you have purchased RemedyForce, I believe support can upgrade you - I'm not sure how it happens post-sale. If you are still using trial version, probably easiest to pull a new trial version if you haven't done too much in your current version.
I didn't cover adding fields; sorry! It was more general than that. But once you are on the spring version - go to setup; create objects; open up the task form; add a custom field (follow the wizard prompts). When it's done, go to task/page layouts Remedyforce 2.0 page; find your field; if you don't like where it is you can move it... you'll see it the next time you go into the task standard page!
