The server portion of storage discovery has been improved in 8.3, with our discovery of HBA cards being deepened and extended.
We'll address the SAN side of storage in a further version of ADDM.
Can you please elaborate a little more on Server portion of storage discovery.
Is it somewhat related to like, if I had mapped a part of storage on my Server then ADDM will be able to detect that part of storage?
Thanks in advance
Since we're in the Dark Ages at ADDM 8.3 from a Storage Discovery perspective, is there any intel on processes by which Storage Data are imported via CSV into the "Storage" and "StorageCollection" nodes within ADDM 8.3? Taking a cursory look at the taxonomy, this feat doesn't appear to be especially difficult. Further, relating the "Host" nodes to "Storage" nodes via the HBA discovery of WWN's would no doubt be a boon to pretty much anyone with more than 1TB of spinning disk.
It's a little like creating a mnemonic memory circuit using stone knives and bear skins at the moment.
As far as I know, ADDM does not support storage discovery,
maybe you can customize something with SNMP access
