Hi ,

I have created a filter and used 2 set field actions using read value form.1st set field is executing and we are getting values.we are not getting the values for the second set field. Can we use two set fields in a same filter? I have attached a screenshot for the same. Please revert back ASAP if any one knows about this.

Thanks & Regards

    Yes,

You can use mutiple set fields in filter. ( AR has limitations for 25 set fields in one filter).

Are you using same form to read values in second set fields also? If you are using same form then you should use one set fields to all values.

I hope you are also aware of filter phasing.-:)

    Thanks for the response Sachin.

Are you using same form to read values in second set fields also?

---No we are using different forms,But here the output of the first set field a result has the dependency in the second set field.we are using the output which we got for the first set field and using in the second set field action.I hope you got my point.

    Can we do this ?

I am not much aware of filter phasing,If you have any documents or links please share it here.

    Thanks & Regards

This is happening because filters fire with filter phasing enabled. There are three filter phases and filter actions like set fields, push fields etc firing in one of three filter phases.

You can refer Workflow Objects guide to know more about filter phasing concepts.

As far as your requirement is concerned, you can disable filter phasing of your filter by putting `! sign at end of your filter name and add "Application - Release - Pending"  run process after first set fields action. This will ensure that first set field value will be set in same transanction.

Thanks for the reply sachin,it was helpfull.

We have not given the symbol at the end of the filter we have given it now, when we selected RUN PROCESS we only have APPLICATION keyword,We don't have RELEASE & PENDING.should i enter it manually? We are using remedy 6.3 administrator tool for developing this workflow.

I have uploaded the screenshot which shows all the keywords we can give for RUN PROCESS

Revert back in case of any queries.

    Hi Bhaskar,

Application Release Pending is a run process, you will get it in Run Process rather than in Keyword.

But according to me, if you are using only two actions(same type i.e. set field) in filter then no need to override filter phasing.

Also, Could you please share the Second Set Field action details as you shared for First Set Field Action.

    Regards,

    Atly

    Hello Bhaskar,

You can turn on logs and check why first set fields action is not setting value of field.

There might be other workflows which are setting value of same field.
