3. forget password
SOURABH DESHMUKH May 31, 2012 12:54 AM (in response to Sagar Naik)Hi,
Is it possible to unlock the CREDENTIAL VAULT in case I forgot the passphrase of the credential vault. Is it possible through command line.

4. forget password
Simon White May 31, 2012 1:06 AM (in response to SOURABH DESHMUKH)I do not believe it can be recovered or reset. Per the doc 'The passphrase is not stored anywhere on the appliance, and if lost, the contents of the vault cannot be recovered.'
You could try opening a ticket with BMC support but I think you will have to restore a snapshot (to when the passphrase wasn't active - if possible) or reinit the DB.

5. forget password

It is completely impossible to recover the vault passphrase. This is intentional because it is very important to protect the passwords stored in it. If you have really lost it, you don't have to reinit the data store -- your data is still accessible -- you just need to wipe the vault and re-enter credentials. You should ask customer support to help you with that.
