anirudha

Hi,

When I create new remedy profile for users, it gets created sucessfully in remedy using CTM:People form. But when I am going to change existing profile, say last name modification or any other modification, it does not allow me.

It shows the error messages -

"The dataset ID and Reconciliation Identity combination is not unique. : DatasetId: BMC.ASSET.SANDBOX, ReconciliationId: OI-E7156D3C395D46318A0E5D288A3E359F (ARERR 120092)"

Can anybody help me to sort out this issue.

Thanks in Advance!

    Hi,

I have seen this isssue before. I do not remember how I resolved it exactly though.  This issue occurs because of records on the "BMC.CORE:BMC_Person_" form.

Look for the Instance ID on this form with the "OI-E7156D3C395D46318A0E5D288A3E359" and you might be able to figure out the problem.

BTW, Did you import yr person Data?

    Hi Please follow the below steps; they may help you;

    1)          Search for CI based on instance id.

    2)          Search CIs from find-in-dataset (BMC.Asset) based on identification attribute values of the CI from step 1). For example, if TokenId attribute is used in the identification rule, search for CI based on dataset id equals find-in-dataset id and TokenId equals to what you see from the CI instance from step 1). Make a copy of ReconciliatonIdentity attribute value if a CI is found.

    3)          Search for CI based on source dataset id and ReconciliationIdentity value from step 2).

    4)          Check to see whether the found CI is marked as soft-deleted. If it’s marked as soft-deleted, delete the record; if it’s not marked as soft-deleted, re-examine the identification rule and make appropriate modifications.

    5)          Run identification process to get the CI identified.

Root Cause There’s a duplicate identified CI in the source dataset.

what about if you share Filter and API log at the time to modify the record

    on this form?

    Hi Daniel,

Whenever we have  the related record exist in BMC_Person for respective People record.

Then on every modify action on People form, the changes are also suppose to reflect in BMC_Person form. But as the respective record in BMC_Person form is belong to Production dataset, so while updating that record in BMC_Person it will trigger OOTB sandbox job. So whatever changes we have done on People will first go to Sandbox then it promote to Production Dataset.

Now in your case one of the below must be root cause of your issue.

    1. Sandbox job is disabled.
    2. Previous record exist in Sandbox dataset for the same People record, and due to some error its not promoting to Production Dataset.
    3. Must be some issue with OOTB Sandbox job.

Please check if one of the above issue exist in your environment.

    Hi JD,

I am facing a same kind of issue in which i am having say 100 People record, in which only 80 records are there in BMC:Core Person Class... the remaining 20 even i have modified it manually the workflow is pushing it to BMC:Core Person Class to the Sandbox Dataset but after sometime it is getting deleted instead of getting promoted to Production Dataset...

How do i go with it? how do i find what is the issue with these records? any logs ? any traces?

    Hi Ashwanth,

Usually the Sandbox dataset record will be getting deleted after sometime once the data got promoted to Production dataset.

In your case if it’s not getting promoted to Production Dataset, then either there is some problem with OOTB sandbox rule.

Can you pls enable sever side log while modifying People profile?

To get what is the problem while manual modification of People record and respective in BMC_Person.

    Kindly send those logs.

Do you have any integration with PeopleSoft and relative customization?

Hey actually yes some problem with the sandbox rule.. came to know from this KB:

    Hi JD,

    Thanks for the response.

Let me explain the entire scenario here.

Initially the OOTB Sandbox job were disabled and everthing was running smooth. We were not facing any issues modifying the records using CTM:People form.

But as that job was disabled, all the entries were present in Sandbox dataset. Due to this reason Person form was not having all people records.

We have enabled the job, and executed it. Job executed successfully. As a result, all the entries which were available in Sandbox dataset, promoted to production dataset (BMC.ASSET). And the entries from Sandbox dataset deleted.

Person form showing all people entries now.

But when I am going to modify the people record using CTM:People form, its giving me the error message -

"The dataset ID and Reconciliation Identity combination is not unique. : DatasetId: BMC.ASSET.SANDBOX, ReconciliationId: OI-E7156D3C395D46318A0E5D288A3E359F (ARERR 120092)".

By looking at this error message, it is showing that, after modifying the people record it tries to find it in Sandbox with mentioned reconcililation ID. Obviosly, this record is deleted from Sandbox

Instead it should search in BMC.ASSET. But it is not.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Anirudha

    Hi Anirudha,

For every update also a new record will be getting created for Sandbox asset dataset in respective CMDB form (in your case its BMC_Person).

Did you check if Sandbox Asset dataset is enabled in Application Administration Console->Asset Management-> Advanced->Asset Management setting.

Also go through KB article link which Ashwanth has shared.
