Not able to clear Application Data under User Profile

Adil Rathore

I need to clear %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\DRM using either a batch file or a vbscript.

Tried to run a batch file under user context through a BBCA package but it runs under userprofile of the system account.

I also enabled the userenv=true but this did not help either.

Are you running the batch file while the user is logged onto the machine? Normally, such user specific commands only work if that user is logged in. This is why the userobjs package parameter exists in order to stop packages with user dependent components being installed if the user is not logged in.

    Regards,

Yes, we are testing the package with the user logged in, as we subscribe the package manually on the workstation.

So if you run the "set" command in the batch command and send the output to a file, what results do you get for the user environment variables?

I have done a quick test and set userenv=true in parameters.txt and then republished the channel.

    Now seems to work fine.

Yes, you can't edit the parameters in a channel.txt file in the same way that you can edit the tuner properties.txt/prefs.txt files. These are just externalised copies of the real files that are embedded in the tuner workspace itself. There is a channel called the workspace explorer floating around somewhere that lets you see the content of the current files in the workspace.

Thanks for the reference. I will be checking this workspace explorer thingy soon.
