I suspect that you are in 7.6.04 and in the normal Best Practice Mode.
If this is the case, you can only add new objects, which will become Custom objects. These can be changed later.
You can also create Oberlays for the BMC (Base) objects, and after that you can modify them.
- Note that to change a form, you need to first create an Overlay for the form, and then on the View
- If you want to change more than display-attributes for a field, you need to Overlay the individual field as well
If this is a Bespoke site (without ITSM), you might want to File -> Switch Mode -> Base Development.

Misi Mladoniczky Mar 27, 2012 5:46 AM (in response to ds NameToUpdate)Hi,
You are having network communication problems between your machine and the AR Server.
Maybe the AR Server has crashed or is unstable?
Check the server logs arerror.log and armonitor.log to start with.

Fernando Negre Jul 10, 2012 1:59 AM (in response to ds NameToUpdate)Hi,
I have followed the instructions and I have changed some properties on a menu. The problem is that these changes I can see through the BMC AR System User, but No through the web access (mid-tier). What can I do?
Why the changes are not updated in the web form ?
Thanks in advance

Misi Mladoniczky Jul 10, 2012 2:55 AM (in response to Fernando Negre)Hi,
It might have something to do with your Mid-Tier settings.
One solution that typically works is to login to {midtierurl}/arsys/shared/config/config.jsp and flush your cache.
Some times you need to clear out the browser cache as well...
