Did you ever get this to work?
Excellent, thanks for posting that.
Knowledge Article KA340052 is on the BMC support web site. Search for shopit.
ShopItV60 - All of the product items show out of stock (zero) so you can't do what the demo instructions suggest.
Issue the following command to register the following dll file. But before you do that perform a search for this file then modify the command below to specify the correct directory path to the "ShopItWebService.dll" file.
Register the missing object executing the following command from the command line window:
regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\BMC Software\ShopItV60\ShopItWebService\ShopItWebService.dll"
Reset the stock inventory amounts if still set at zero. The stock amounts for the Shopit application are controlled by the ShopitWebService. In order to reset your stock levels please follow the instructions below.
Open the Shopit 'Greetings' page
Click on the ShopitWebServiceClient link
Type 1 in the ProductID field then click Submit
This should set your stock level for ProductID 1 (Boots1 stock item) to 100 again
Repeat this for all 10 ProductID's and submit after each one
All stock levels should now be reset to 100.
ShopItV60 installer exiting after saying it needs IIS 4 or higher. But I already have IIS 7 running on Win 2008 R2 and that's running Central just fine.
Interestingly, it installed ShopItV60 just fine on Win 2003 with IIS 6.
BUT my client PoC requirement is IIS 7 on Win 2008 R2.
I'm experiencing the same case with you. Probably you want to use other application for POC? or try to get other machine (can be a VM) to run 2003 and ShopIt....
I'm not familiar with ShopItV60, but you may want to try changing the default IIS application pool from "Integrated mode" to "Classic Mode" prior to install, this typically solves backwards compatibility issues.
