I never liked Common Connect. I would recommend using MCXP.
I'd start by having a couple of BII4p7 if you are using BII4P3 that only supports 100 servers. Jon

I have setup a system that sends a specified HEARTBEAT events through all integrations via KMs on Patrol Agents. These events are then queried at an interval from their destination cells. If an event is missing then the related BII4p7 integration is restarted. Works like a charm. The heartbeat.km can be found from the performance manager forum files. The rest of it is a simple perl script in a windows environment.
Btw. what is MCXP ?
Thanks for your answers guys!
Marko, I think this is exactly what I need, thanks!
In our projects, we also use the so-called heartbeat KMs, but we have another implementation of this module:
- Monitoring the availability of PA
- Monitoring the PSL-scheduler (health of PA)
IMHO, It's good and simple way...
Would you be willing to clarify a little on the part "healt of PA" ? Having a PA die on you without anyone noticing is a real problem.
