Are you saying that you don't have the Service+ field available in the AOT so you can expose it and map to it?
If so, you can expose the field to the AOT so that you can map to it. I'll attach a doc that talks about exposing vendor field; you would do something similar for Service+ ...
If I misunderstood your post, apologies!
I've followed the instructions but when I look at the SRD mappings (variable and SR field mapping) I don't have the option to select what I have set up. I don't really understand why?
There are some mappings that are 'out of the box' that don't seem to appear as an option to choose.
Hi, Sean -
not sure what version you are on; when I looked at my 7.6.04 system, I did have the ServiceCI available in the AOT to select.
So first question- is it in the AOT in terms of fields to expose? Then is the field exposed?
Next q - if you're on 7.6.04, have you done input/output mappings for the Service CI in your PDT that you have hooked to your SRD?
Third q - assuming those are true do you see it in the Variable Mapping tab in the Questions and Mappings area? (that's where I see it)
All this worked fine for me; again, I did not have to do what was in the doc I sent you because ServiceCI was already available in my AOT.
(hmmm - just noticed the data didn't actually come through when I requested the SR, but I definitely saw it in the mappings. Will try hard coding it in the SRD, see what happens)
Thanks Anne (especially for your patience!).
We are using 7.6.04 and I can see that the ServiceCI field is exposed in the AOT.
It sounds like the problem area is the input/output mappings for the ServiceCI in my PDT. I certainly don't see it in the Variable Mapping tab in the questions and mappings area.
Within the AOT/PDT I have the option to 'Define a variable' and 'Map data'.
In the Define a variable, I manually created one called 'in_serviceCI' and set the type as 'process input' to match the others already there. I then moved onto the 'Map data' section. Here I had 3 columns: Field, input and output. Unfortunately I was expecting a field to match ServiceCI but there wasn't one. I got a bit confused at this point.
Thanks. Anything you can add will be great - think I may have to give up - beyond my intitial training of setting up permissions and changing landing pages etc.

right - the in_service CI should be the "input" field; output you should be able to link to the ServiceCI field in the AOT assuming it was "exposed".... Sounds like you're close!
