Our organization will be implementing a new AR System 7.6.04SP1 solution soon for approximately 100 concurrent users primarily working in Incident and Problem Management, on 64-bit Windows Server 2008 R2 and 64-bit SQL Server 2005.
My goal is to size a sufficient storage area network to accommodate the database. Since this environment does not exist today, I have no means for gathering performance data to determine the average and maximum IOPS for a given timeframe.
If anyone could direct me to any resources that provide baselines for workload performance in a given Remedy / SQL Server environment, specifically with regards to typical IOPS usage, I would greatly appreciate it. A frame of reference is what I lack today (e.g. 1,000 Incident users will typ. generate 10,000 IOPS on a SQL Server database, etc).
Thanks in advance.
It may be a bit late but this should help.
