1. SCCM Integration with CMDB

1 of 1 people found this helpfulThe SMSCMDB connector on the open source page is the set of mappings that you use with AIE to connect AIE with the SCCM data store. So yes, you would use AIE to connect SCCM to the CMDB. Although it's labeled SMS it can be used with SCCM as well.
Hope this helps

2. Re: SCCM Integration with CMDB
Lalit Joshi Jan 25, 2011 3:49 PM (in response to Anne Brock)Thank you very much for your reply.
We need to map SCCM fields to import data into fields on the Specifications tab (probably around 10 fields). And Needs to run this job once a day. Formerly data came in from SMS but recently customer switch to SCCM and a new server.
Do we need to modify the existing mappings to implement this? also any document you have so please share with me?
Regards
Lalit

Jim Campbell Jul 21, 2011 7:26 PM (in response to Lalit Joshi)Please let me know how your mapping for SCCM Fields went - I have a client using SCCM 2007R3. Not sure of what version of SCCM you had for your organization. Thanks. Jim.

1 of 1 people found this helpfulHi Lalit, please let us know progress.
Also saw (by searching on BMC Communities) that Seamless has expertise on this.
Carey "CMDB expert" Walker has real-life experience with it.

Lalit Joshi Feb 1, 2012 4:17 AM (in response to Lalit Joshi)Seamless is the best option. Seamless adapter comes with ready to use configurations (dataload jobs, NE and Recon job etc.). Its just perfect. understand the requirements and apply this Interface.

Jens Hermann Feb 21, 2012 3:59 AM (in response to Lalit Joshi)Afaik the Seamless Adapter is compatible with Atrium CMDB 7.6. The datasheet is missing to run with 7.6.04. Not sure if/when an update will arise.

I've asked Seamless for confirmation of 7.6.04 support. We'll update the datasheet if necessary.

Adrian Buckley Feb 28, 2012 2:04 PM (in response to Lalit Joshi)The Seamless integration is indeed compatible with Remedy 7.6.04 - the latest datasheet is at http://www.seamlessti.com/datasheets/Datasheet_MS_SCCM_BMC_Atrium_CMDBv5.pdf
We have also tested against SCCM2012 and are compatible ...
The latest release of our Seamless DATA PUMP has some new features, including a GUI Administration panel, a software normalization engine and plenty of added features to help with ease of use.
Please contact me at sales@seamlessti.com for more information or to request a trial.

Jim Campbell Feb 29, 2012 4:51 AM (in response to Adrian Buckley)I have been in touch with Partners recently who had to do this for large implementations - they were very satisfied in using and getting assistance from seamless – organisation.. for Integrating thousands of CI’s from SCCM into Remedy. Column IT representative very happy with their recent integration work.. quickly and easily.

Well, thanks for the seamless responses. But, the implementation is to be driven now and there is no plan to buy supplementary software in this budget. So, I am still looking for a solution to use SCCM 2007 data into Atrium CMDB 7.6 and after the migration some Pentaho solution fot the 7.6.04 new implementation.

13. SCCM Integration with CMDB
Greg FORNAL May 15, 2012 1:34 PM (in response to Lalit Joshi)I had our DBA create two different tables in the SCCM to store Hardware and Software information. I then created AIE jobs to pull that information from the SCCM Database Tables. You will need assitance from you SCCM DBA to help you find the data within the database. The SMS2CMDB mapping is about 80%. You will need a staging form for People relationships if you want to use the SCCM data for that.

14. SCCM Integration with CMDB
Adrian Buckley May 15, 2012 1:46 PM (in response to Serge Pouliquen)If you would like to evaluate the Seamless Data Pump and help us justify this cost vs. the time it will take for you to get to the same level of functionality using AIE or AI ... and the subsequent efforts you will need to go through for Remedy 8 and SCCM 2012, etc... let me know. We can have your full integration done and in production in less than a day.
