Matt, this is working for me in IE and FF... when I click upgrade, a box comes up where I can enter my status. What browser are you using?
I'm on Chrome, tested yesterday on IE7, didn't work either.
Let me test again...
Alena, using http://communities.bmc.com/communities/people/bsm , I could update status on every browser
But using http://communities.bmc.com/communities/people/matt , clicking on (Update) does nothing
Me not being able to update status is not a big deal, you may have far more impactful areas.
Don't worry about me.
I also was not able to see Status using Win7/IE8, however when I clicked on 'New' in the top frame (just to the right of 'Welcome', then selected 'Update' this dropped down a dialog 'Update Status'. Thanks for all the good posts Matt, very useful. Regards, Mort

your trick doesn't work for me :S
In "Your Stuff", I can see "Updates", that says "No activity".
In "New", "Update" is not listed (at least on Safari Mobile tonight)

My account was eventually fixed, and I've been able to update Status for the past 10 months or so.
