Search and Replace function in mrl

      Share This:

I am searching for a way in mrl to search and replace parts of strings.

slot my_host has the value "$SERVER$". Now I want to replace all occurrencies of "$SERVER$" with a real value like the content of $EV.mc_host.

      With a normal regex (perhaps shell script) i would to the following : my_host=`echo "$my_host" | sed -e "s/\$SERVER\$/$mc_host/g"`

Is this possible ? match_regex does only search, but there is no replacement. strip/4 does only remove the found content.
