User "Flag for Follow up" option

We've had several users request the ability to "flag" a ticket so they could follow up on it at a later time to either see how the ticket ended up, or for a future reminder.  I'm sure something could be done via a custom field and search, but that would lump everyone's "flags" together.  Could be something like a checkbox in the console, but only flags it for that specific user.
